About Clover Farm Market
The Clover Farm Market has been a destination for over 200 years. Located on the scenic Squannacook River in the heart of West Groton, the store has for many years serviced the local food market, selling provisions and providing a community gathering place that once housed a soda shop, a barber shop and a post office. Lovingly called The Red & White Store in the 1900's and "the little green store" in the 1950's, Clover Farm Market has been a landmark at the center of history since the Civil War.
Purchased in 2007 and refreshingly renovated by Jan Hurst, a native New Englander and recently supplanted Californian, the store now has an eclectic blend of old and new, providing an ambience that enhances the homemade food, the outgoing, friendly service, and the beloved neighborhood traditions of the past. All in all, Clover Farm is a gentle brushstroke of art in a country setting.
